Poster with advertising poster for the Stockholm exhibition by Richard Bergh. The exhibition was inaugurated in 1897 to show Sweden-Norway's industrial innovation power and was designed after similar industrial exhibitions on a European scale. Crown Prince Gustav (future Gustav V) organized the exhibition, which was inaugurated by King Oscar II at Djurgården and ran during the summer months and consisted for the most part of temporary buildings. There were models of the historic Old Town, large machine halls and pavilions where industry and various inventions were displayed.
