For us at Arkivet, it has always been important that your personal data is handled in a safe and secure manner. We comply with all laws and regulations that apply to personal data protection. What data do we process, what is it used for and on what basis?

to be able to manage your orders and purchases do we need to process this data about you;

  • Name
  • Address, telephone number and e-mail
  • Social security number (for certain payment options)
  • Payment information and payment history
  • Information about your order (e.g. order number, product, delivery address and invoice)

We do this with the legal basis of fulfilling the purchase agreement; without this information we cannot fulfill our contract with you. We save the information for 36 months from the time delivery and payment have taken place in order to help you with any complaints and warranty matters. 

So that we can follow the laws and regulations that apply to us do we need to process this data about you;

  • Name
  • Address
  • Payment information and payment history
  • Information about your order (e.g. order number, product and delivery address)

We do this with the legal basis of legal obligation, which means that we must handle the data in order to comply with the laws to which we are subject. An example is the Accounting Act, and therefore we save this information with limited access for 7 years + the current year. This information will therefore not be available for, for example, customer service.

So that we can offer a customer service to you do we need to process this data about you;

  • Name
  • Phone number and email
  • Social security number (for certain payment options)
  • Payment information and payment history
  • Information about your order (e.g. order number, product, delivery address and invoice)
  • Information that you provide yourself in your communication with us

We do this on the legal basis that the processing is necessary to satisfy our and your legitimate interest in being able to answer questions from you. We save the information for 14 months from the end of the customer service case.

To be able to offer you a personalized website to provide you with the best possible shopping experience and provide you with more relevant product displays and recommendations, we process this data about you;

  • IP
  • Data collected from cookies and the like, for example which products you clicked on and your shopping history

We then analyze this data, and then give you suggestions for other products you might like on our website. We do this on the legal basis that the processing is necessary to satisfy our legitimate interest in providing you with as good and customized a website as possible. We save such data for a maximum of one year from your last activity. If you want us to delete this data, you can contact us at any time and we will do it. 

To be able to market us to you and display our products and offers both on our website and through partners, we handle this information about you;

  • IP
  • Data collected from cookies and the like, for example which products you clicked on pages you visited
  • Order number

We do this on the legal basis that the processing is necessary to satisfy our legitimate interest in marketing our products to you up to one year after your last activity on our website. To be able to send you our newsletter or give you various offers do we need to process this data about you;

  • Name
  • Address, telephone number and e-mail
  • Data you provide yourself (e.g. your opinions, your feedback and the like)

We only do this when we have received your consent in connection with your handing over the information. The storage period may be different depending on the situation, but is always included in the consent you give at that time. 

To be able to prevent misuse of our services or to prevent, prevent and investigate crimes against the company do we handle this data;

We do this because the processing is necessary to satisfy our legitimate interest in improving and developing our website and our products and offers to you. We do this through analysis on an aggregated level, i.e. that the analysis is general and not on an individual level. We save such data as a basis for the analysis in plain text for one year from your last activity, and then we pseudonymize the information, which means that it is not possible to see who the data belongs to. If you should return within two years of us pseudonymizing your data, we will link your data with your previous visit to our website and can thus see that you are a repeat customer, and better understand how repeat customers generally use our website . If, however, more than two years have passed since we pseudonymized your data, we can no longer link the data, and your history is empty. Should you contact us and wish to exercise your right to be deleted, we will of course also not be able to retrieve any information about you.

Who can we share your data with?

We sometimes share information, including personal data, with certain recipients in order to perform the processing described above. We never sell your data to anyone else without your permission. Those with whom we may share your information are:

Service providers
In order to fulfill the purposes of our processing of your personal data, we share your personal data with companies that provide services to us, e.g. to manage the dispatch and delivery of your goods or to provide certain systems. These companies may only process your personal data according to our express instructions and may not use your data for anything other than this.

Payment service providers
To administer payments via the website, we use various payment service providers. The payment service provider is the data controller for its own processing of your personal data, and has separate terms and conditions that apply to them. You get information about their terms and handling of personal data when you choose which payment method you want to use on the website.

Collaborative partners
In order for us to be able to compensate our partners for traffic to us that has been driven via their channels, we share information with our partners such as order number and purchase amount. The data is shared for that purpose only, and is not sold or shared further.

Other recipients
We may transfer your personal data to other recipients, e.g. authorities, if required by us by law. If all or parts of our business is sold or integrated with another business, your personal data may be disclosed to our advisors, any buyer and their advisor and passed on to the new owner of the business.

Transfers outside the EU
Some service or payment service providers may be located outside the EEA. We never transfer any data outside the EEA without having taken appropriate security measures, and we have legal support for the transfer through, for example, Privacy Shield or the Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to know which personal data from you we use, through a so-called register extract. We want to ensure that your personal data is correct and up-to-date, and you also have the right to have incorrect information about you corrected. If the information you provided to us changes, e.g. if you change your e-mail address, name or your payment details, just contact our customer service.

On those occasions when we process your personal data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing at any time. You also have the right to object to certain processing, for example for purposes related to direct marketing and the sending of newsletters. Under certain circumstances, you also have the right to have your personal data deleted or blocked. However, this does not apply if, for example, we are obliged by law to preserve or otherwise handle the data, or if the data is needed to be able to fulfill an agreement with you.
