A glimpse into another world

We have delved deep into the Swedish archives to find beautiful and unusual motifs. We are driven by a genuine interest in the gold mine that is our cultural heritage and believe in the value of surrounding yourself with things that matter. We are constantly trying to find new motifs that are both stylish in a modern home and tell something more.

These can be posters and photos that reflect a certain zeitgeist, original drawings of some of our most famous buildings, local maps or newspaper covers that capture how a certain world event was perceived then and there. Our motifs plunge the viewer straight into history and provide a fascinating insight into the world of our grandparents and ancestors. In addition, they are almost a guaranteed snack ice cream.

Based on genuine fascination with history

We have spent countless hours looking for motifs from archives around Sweden. It is a time-consuming process that requires interest and a great deal of patience as many of our archives have still largely not been digitized.

After that, we have spent at least as much time processing, retouching and designing the archive material. Many old motifs need to be restored by retouching to remove damage or adjusting the coloring to produce a high quality product that looks good on the wall.

If you have a particular motif you are looking for, we will be happy to help you find and produce a poster you are happy with. If you just want to suggest motifs you think would fit with us, we are also very grateful!
