Poster with photograph of newspaper cover from November 12, 1918. The guns have fallen silent.

The German generals signed the terms of the armistice at five in the morning on November 11, 1918, and the war was officially over. Millions of people had died, four out of five warring monarchies had fallen, all warring states were exhausted and in Russia the Communists had revolutionized and formed the Soviet Union. The old world of inherited privilege and stability was replaced in the following decades by the lure of modernism and mass political movements.

Newspaper covers provide a super interesting insight into a moment in history and draw the viewer into another time, and look really good on the wall!

About the product

Our printing paper comes from one of the world's leading manufacturers – Hahnemühle. We have chosen a matte paper of 200g per square meter, which has a structure and warm tone that gives the motifs a fantastic reproduction. Please note that since the ratio between length and width differs depending on the size you choose, the motifs are cropped slightly differently. Frames are not included with the posters and must be purchased separately.
